Batch Billing

Turn your billing workbook into an 837P claim file

Batch Billing reads the spreadsheet your agency already bills from and writes a compliant 837P for Minnesota DHS. It runs on your own computer, so your billing data never leaves it.

Billing software that fits your spreadsheet

Every agency keeps its billing a little differently. Batch Billing does not ask you to change that. You tell it once which column holds which piece of information, and after that you pick the same import map every month and only the workbook changes.

Most agencies never touch it: the map for the standard 37-column DHS billing template is selected already.

It runs on your computer, not on a website

The workbook is read on your machine and the claim file is written on your machine. Your clients' billing data is not uploaded to us to be processed, and the file you submit is the file Batch Billing produced.

It also keeps working when your internet does not.

Made for how agencies actually bill

  • Bill some people, not all of them. Find a client, press Skip everyone else, and the batch is just them. Nobody unticks fifty rows, and nobody deletes rows out of the spreadsheet to do it.
  • More than one enrollment. If your agency bills under more than one NPI or UMPI, Batch Billing asks which one each workbook is for. It never guesses.
  • Checked before it is written. The things DHS rejects a file over are checked first, so you hear about them at your desk rather than days later in a remittance.
  • A record of every batch. What was produced, when, by whom, and the control numbers that went with it.

Who it is for

Minnesota Medicaid waiver providers who bill DHS from a spreadsheet and would rather not retype it into a portal line by line.
